I recently bought a car from a local private seller, rather than from a car dealer. I thought I had checked it out fully, but I didn’t have the sort of security that I would have with a car dealers and the watchdogs that go along with it. As such, unfortunately, it turned out that the car I had bought was a dud – it broke almost as soon as I got it home, and there was nothing I could really do about it! Luckily I know a mechanic who fixed the main things, but it meant it wasn’t really a deal!
