19th and 20th centuries, locksmiths were able to open up their own shops because the demand for keys and locks grew quickly as cities and towns grew. During this time, new innovations in locking systems were developed to meet the demands for a more secure society. Most of the innovations are still used today. Nowadays, locksmiths learn more than just producing locks and keys. Today, locksmiths such as Newport locksmiths must also learn how to assess locking systems to see how well they can withstand stress. This has made the locksmith like Newport locksmiths an important part of the security industry because our society has become a more violent place to live. As a result, locksmiths will be around as long as there is a need for security in an insecure world.
