Why Do We Need Eco Friendly Building Materials?

The many problems that the planet is facing right now – global warming, all kinds of pollution, shortages in natural resources to name a few – has made “going green” into more than just a cause. It has become a lifestyle. As the awareness that the people have about all these problems grow, they try to find ways in which they can do their part to save the planet. One such way that contractors and engineers and people in the building and construction industry have come up with is true the invention of eco friendly building materials. These materials are made up of recycled and Earth – friendly components. Some people have gone on to say that these kinds of building materials are actually of substandard quality compared to the ordinary building materials, but that is simply not true. On the contrary, these “green” materials are just as sturdy as their conventional counterparts.
