Tomorrow I am going fill out the paperwork to get my Firearm Owner’s Identification Card (FOID) in Illinois. It will take about 30 days before the card can be issued due to the background check involved. Once it is received, I wont need to renew it for 10 years. My wife is going to get me a 45 automatic colt pistol (ACP) caliber handgun for Christmas. Locating 45 ACP ammo for sale in my area should be fairly easy. So hopefully after Christmas I will be able to visit all the shooting ranges in Illinois. An old friend of mine goes shooting all the time and kinda got me into it.
