When I tell people about my travel experiences, they tend to think that I had such a wonderful experience simply because I was out in the world having fun.  Really it was so much more than that.  I was truly learning about the world and I consider my time teaching in europe to be just as much of an educational experience for me as it was for my students.  I got to see the world through the eyes of people from a culture that is completely unlike my own, but somehow it made me see that we are all the same as well.
